How It Started
On Career Day, I chose to present as a pastry chef and decorated a cake as part of my presentation. The experience sparked something in me—I discovered a genuine love for the creativity, precision, and joy that comes with baking. Since that moment, I’ve been deeply inspired to pursue a career in the pastry arts, continually growing my skills and passion through hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and every sweet creation I make.
Cake I Chose To Make
For my presentation, I chose to make a classic vanilla cake and gave it a fun, candy-inspired twist. I lined the sides with KitKats to create a chocolatey border, then filled the top with a generous layer of colorful M&M’s for a playful, eye-catching finish. It was a simple yet creative design that made the cake just as exciting to look at as it was to eat—and it gave me a taste of how much I enjoy combining flavor with visual flair.
How It's Going
I completed a course on the fundamentals of baking, where I gained valuable knowledge about essential techniques, ingredients, and kitchen practices. Through hands-on learning, I developed a strong foundation in baking and earned a certification that marks the beginning of my journey in the pastry arts. This experience deepened my passion for baking, and I’m excited to continue expanding my skills through further education and real-world experience.
The Vision
My vision is to become a highly skilled and innovative pastry chef, known for creating exceptional baked goods that bring joy to people’s lives. I aspire to grow from a small, handcrafted pastry business into a large-scale operation with multiple factories that produce high-quality, consistent, and beautifully made pastries for communities near and far. Through dedication, creativity, and faith, I aim to build a brand that not only delivers sweet experiences but also creates opportunities, supports local economies, and inspires future bakers to dream big.
